When and where will sessions take place?

I recommend scheduling sessions around 2 hours before sunset for the most flattering natural lighting.  I am happy to meet with you at a location special to you or recommend a location for your session. The session fee includes travel within 30 miles of Troy, IL. Some of my favorite places for sessions are Drost Park in Maryville, Willoughby Heritage Farm in Collinsville, and the SIUE campus. Or consider photos at your home for a personal touch!

What do I need to do before my session?

-For group photos, choose clothing that coordinates rather than matches.  Try to choose 2-3 colors and have the family members wear those colors plus neutrals (jeans/khaki) in the same level of dressiness.

- Plan to dress from head to toe.  Shoes will be in the photos and accessories add personality.

- Consider anything you would like to bring to the session to show off what’s special to you. 

 

What should I do on the day of my session?

- Arrive 15 minutes early for last minute feeding, make-up checks, hair-combing, and face cleaning.

- Relax and have fun!  Natural smiles and interactions lead to beautiful portraits.  If you are relaxed, your child is more likely to feel relaxed and cooperative.
