Fall photo season is just about over with the freezing temperatures and snow arriving, but sessions are still available with
Carrie P Photography! A mini-session is a great choice if you are willing to brave the cold for a bit. Sessions can be held in your home for an even more personalized look to your photos. Don't let the cold keep you from beautiful photos!
With the first flakes of snow falling, it warms me up to think back on this July milestone session. The M family met me at Creve Coeur Lake on a busy Sunday morning. We dodged the bikers, runners, and dog-walkers to capture some photographs of this sweet guy who was just turning 2. He wanted little to do with the camera with all the excitement around him, but we managed to keep him out of the lake and all survived the July heat. Success!

The B family will be welcoming another little boy soon. We got together back in August for this session because big brother arrived well before his due date. Baby #2 has now made it to week 38. Hooray! I am excited to meet him and photograph this family again in a few weeks.

I shouldn't have waited so long to share this fun post! Cake smash sessions always turn out sweet and adorable. Baby L enoyed every bite and looked amazing in her crown and her special birthday "one"-sie.
It is nice to get some variety and some family shots in during these milestone sessions, and outdoor sessions allow for plenty of opportunity for both. Little L was so excited to wave to the doggies passing behind me!

Baby E is a gorgeous baby girl. You can see how smitten Mom and Dad are with her.
My preferred time of day for sessions is about 90 minutes before sunset. The low sun means there are plenty of shadows to protect eyes from the sun (and squinting). And there is an opportunity for gorgeous hazy light through the trees. Thanks for laughing at my fake sneezes, Baby E!

Newborn sessions are available year round. Sessions take place in your home during the first 14 days after baby is born. I'd love to capture your new addition at home, in the nursery, surrounded by parents, siblings, and pets. Hospital sessions are also available for those who want photos of baby's first few days. It has been such a long winter, but I am excited to get back to outdoor photos with warmer weather finally in the forecast. And I still had one session left to blog from 2013.
The D family was in town for Thanksgiving from Wisconsin. We met up for family photos in downtown Belleville, and it was a combination family/ maternity/ holiday session because Mom was expecting baby #2.
They were troopers in the cold!

Happy New Year!
This session didn't get shared in 2013, so I thought this family would make a great first share of the new year.
